About HSK 1 dialogues

At HSK 1 you can follow very short exchanges: greetings, buying something simple, asking where or when. Each turn is one short sentence, speakers alternate predictably, and the scene tells you most of the meaning before the words do.

Dialogues at this level repeat the small set of phrases people actually say, in the situations where they say them. Read each turn aloud — at HSK 1, dialogue practice is pronunciation practice too.

How the reader works

Read the Chinese text first — every word is tappable for pinyin and a meaning in your language. Turn pinyin or translation on when you need them and off when you don't. Sign in to save words, and come back later to the exact sentence you found them in.

FAQ

Are these dialogues realistic or textbook-style?

Realistic scenes, controlled language. The situations are ordinary life; the wording stays within beginner range so you can follow who says what, and why.

How should I practice with a dialogue?

Read it once silently, once aloud, then once with pinyin off. Tap any phrase to see how it works, and save the ones you want to reuse.

Are these dialogues free? Do I need an account?

All published dialogues are free to read, no account needed. Signing in adds saving: expressions you tap are kept with the turn you found them in, so you can review them in context later.
